We're recruiting for an established provider whose homes support young people aged 6-18 who've experienced adversity, trauma, or instability. They provide not just care, but education, support, and therapeutic pathways to help children build trust, regulate emotions, grow in confidence, and find their voice.
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you'll help turn lives around in a home that blends warmth, structure, and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering trauma-informed, child-centred care: forming strong, positive relationships with young people to help them feel safe, heard, and valued.
Contributing to and implementing individual care and behaviour plans, risk assessments, and reviews.
Leading shifts: supervising staff, ensuring routines are maintained, promoting consistency.
Supporting young people's education, social activities, and personal development.
Maintaining clear, accurate records, reporting safeguarding concerns and incidents in line with regulation.
Helping to maintain a nurturing, clean, homely environment where young people thrive.
Mentoring junior staff, modelling best practice, and supporting the home's leadership.
What We're Looking For
Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent
Experience in a children's home setting (essential)
Supervisory experience (essential)
Passion to help nurture young people
Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins (Rota plan given in advance)
Full, UK driving licence (essential)
What You'll Get
A salary of 35,239.2 - 36,900 per year (based on a pay rate of 14.20 - 15.00 per hour and undertaking 8 sleeps per month)
Enrolment onto the fully funded Level 5 Children and Young People's Workforce qualification
