07:30 - 23:00 - Rolling 2 days on 4 days off

Salary :

30,360 - 32,906 [dependant on experience]

Sleep-in Payments:

Additional 65 per night

This really is an exciting opportunity to join the Physis Team as a Senior Therapeutic Support Worker with a new home near Market Drayton! We also have homes around the Whitchurch area with both Senior and Qualified roles available.

The Role of Residential Support Worker:

To know, understand, implement, and model the Physis Model of Therapeutic Care to provide a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social, and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities. To work under the direction of the Registered Manager (RM) to ensure Physis service delivery objectives are met, and to run shifts as required. To be a caregiver to young people ensuring their daily needs are met and their individual plans for health, education, safety, and personal development are delivered. At all times to promote the safeguarding and welfare of the children. To act as an ambassador for the organisation and ensure effective partnership working within the organisation and with external agencies.

Experience and qualifications you will have:

Level 3 QCF Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Driver's licence - Use of onsite vehicles. Experience of working with young people, with complex needs within a residential setting desirable. Effective characteristics and personality to handle challenging situations. Ability to place young people at the centre of all practice and decision making.

Successful applicants will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure Check by the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). Any unspent conviction/cautions should be declared at the point of application. Any adult cautions (simple or conditional) or spent convictions that are not protected as defined by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 should also be declared.
