About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Senior Support Worker

to join a children's residential setting in Derby. This role involves leading shifts, supporting young people, and assisting the Registered Manager with operational and management tasks.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage shifts, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to care plans Support young people with their day-to-day needs and behaviours in line with safeguarding policies Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and performance support Assist the Registered Manager with staff inductions, supervision, and other management tasks Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulatory and safeguarding standards Collaborate with the management team to deliver a safe, supportive, and person-centred environment

Requirements

NVQ Level 3 in Child Care or equivalent Minimum 2 years' experience in a residential care setting Full UK driving licence Experience leading shifts and managing staff effectively Strong knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child development Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills
