Full-time | 8am-11pm | 1 on, 2 off shift pattern (subject to change based on service needs)

We're looking for a
Senior Support Worker
to join a therapeutic children's home in
Chorley
, where trauma-informed care, genuine relationships, and high standards come first. This is a hands-on leadership role, offering the opportunity to guide a dedicated team and make a lasting impact on the lives of children and young people.
Working within a small, nurturing setting, you'll be a key part of the team's leadership structure, supporting the Registered Manager and Deputy to deliver excellent care and create a therapeutic home environment in line with the YourCare model.
What You'll Do
Lead and oversee shifts, ensuring high-quality care is consistently delivered
Support and supervise team members in line with company policies and national standards
Act as a positive role model, demonstrating therapeutic childcare practices and emotional resilience
Transport children to and from school, activities or appointments as needed
Contribute to service development and be involved in continuous improvement projects
What You'll Need
Level 3/4 Diploma (QCF) for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent (or actively working towards it)
Experience in residential childcare, including shift leadership
Knowledge of safeguarding, child protection and residential childcare legislation
A commitment to ongoing training, development and reflective practice
Flexibility to work on a rota that includes evenings, weekends, bank holidays and potential short-notice changes
Willingness to work in other homes within reasonable distance if required
