Job Purpose
As a Senior Support Worker at Thrive Leaving Care, you will lead by example--supporting both young people and the staff team to achieve the best possible outcomes. You'll still work directly with young people aged 16-18, but with added responsibilities around staff mentoring, training, and service oversight.
Your role includes coaching and supporting staff to be confident, skilled, and consistent in their approach. You'll take an active lead in ensuring young people's records are up to date, key work sessions are meaningful, and lessons learned are implemented in daily practice. You'll also be responsible for liaising with Local Authorities, attending professionals' meetings, and covering on-call responsibilities as part of the leadership rota.
You'll need to be emotionally mature, highly organised, and a natural motivator--bringing calm, compassion, and structure to a fast-paced and at times challenging setting.
