The

successful candidate

will be required to assist the Home Manager in the effective co-ordination of a wide range of services and support required by individual service users to enable them to live active, fulfilled lives and to maintain their rights of autonomy, attainment, citizenship, individuality, well-being, inclusion and diversity.

Take responsibility for administering medication safely to service users in line with policies and procedures.

Effectively maintain and take ownership of service users care plans and risk assessments.

Follow agreed care management plans, including practical application of the concept of positive behavior management to ensure a low arousal response to clients challenging needs.

Where necessary to assist service users in aspects of their personal care needs with particular attention to enabling service users who have limited mobility, or physical / learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided

Required

:

Genuine interest in and experience of working in a residential care setting for elderly people is essential for this role.

Medication administration training

QCF Level 3 or willingness to work towards it

Ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Satisfactory DBS check and successful induction training
