A compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Senior Support Worker with a strong background in delivering person?centred support to adults with autism and learning disabilities in supported?living services. Skilled in leading teams, promoting independence, and ensuring safe, high?quality care aligned with regulatory standards and organisational values.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport & Care
Provide high?quality, person?centred support that promotes independence, choice, and dignity.
Work collaboratively with individuals, families, advocates, and multidisciplinary professionals.
Support residents with daily living skills including personal care, household tasks, budgeting, medication, and community access.
Use positive behaviour support (PBS) approaches to help individuals with complex needs, behaviours of concern, and communication differences.
Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential records, including risk assessments, support plans, and daily notes.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, mentor, and support a team of Support Workers to deliver consistent and empowering care.
Provide supervision, coaching, and on?shift guidance, modelling best practice at all times.
Assist with staff training, induction, and competency development.
Support effective rota planning and shift coordination.
Communication & Professional Practice
Build positive, trusting relationships with service users and their support networks.
Use clear communication, including alternative communication methods where required (e.g., PECS, Makaton, social stories).
Work collaboratively with external professionals such as social workers, clinicians, and community partners.
Maintain professional boundaries and uphold confidentiality at all times.

Experience & Qualifications
Experience working in supported living, residential care, or community support for people with autism and learning disabilities.
Knowledge of safeguarding, medication management, and regulatory standards.
