Priory Eden House is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join the team. This is a full-time, 37.5-hour role.
Eden House, part of Priory, is an affordable, 18-bed residential service in Mill Hill, North London. It is home to Flourish - our pioneering therapy-led addiction programme - offering bespoke treatment for a wide range of addictions in a calm, homely environment. Set within a supportive community, Eden House provides a safe haven away from the stresses of daily life, forming part of our wider network of residential addiction treatment homes across the UK.
Delivered by qualified therapists in a non-medical setting, Flourish offers an alternative to traditional hospital-based treatment. It's ideal for people who don't need a medical detox or ongoing medical care but would benefit from structured therapy, community connection, and practical tools to achieve meaningful, sustainable recovery.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing at all times
Act as a role model and shift leader, supporting, mentoring, and guiding Support Workers to deliver consistent and safe care
Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and daily documentation to ensure care is delivered in line with individual support plans and Priory standards
Administer or support with policies, training, and regulatory requirements
Work collaboratively with managers, healthcare professionals, families, and external agencies to support positive outcomes for residents

What you'll bring to the role
Our work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key. No two days are the same! Your natural empathy will help you support others through both the highs and lows.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a care or support setting, ideally supporting individuals with complex needs or challenging behaviours. You will have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to support and guide others on shift. A good understanding of person-centred care, safeguarding, and relevant legislation is essential. An NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards this) is desirable, along with a flexible approach to working shifts, including weekends and nights.
