We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our Ofsted "Good"-rated, two-bed children's residential home in Maidenhead. We provide high-quality, therapeutic care for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD), supporting them to develop confidence, stability, and brighter futures.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Support Worker looking to progress into a senior role and take on greater responsibility within a supportive and child-centred environment.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead shifts, guide and mentor junior staff, and ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality care. You will contribute to the development and implementation of personalised care plans and work collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals to maintain a safe, nurturing home.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent, high-quality care and emotional support to young people Lead shifts and act as a positive role model for staff and residents Support and mentor junior colleagues to develop their practice Contribute to personalised care plans and therapeutic strategies Promote a safe, structured, and nurturing home environment Ensure adherence to safeguarding procedures and Ofsted regulations Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation Build effective working relationships with families, social workers, and professionals

Requirements

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) - essential Previous experience within a children's residential care setting - essential Experience in a senior or shift-leading role - highly desirable Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills Resilient, empathetic, and committed to child-centred practice Full UK driving licence - preferred
