As a Support Worker in a Supported Living setting, you will be a role model within the Care
Team who provide excellent care and support. You will carry out duties designated by your Team Leader. You will work closely with People We Support, providing both companionship and specialist care. You will provide personal care, and support individuals with day-to-day tasks and leisure activities. This can take place at home, out in the community, or in any other settings their needs and choices may require
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Support with personal care as required (for example, using the bathroom and keeping themselves clean) using methods you will be fully trained to enact
Encourage people we support to make independent choices, in line with the Mental Capacity Act requirements
Participate in the development and implementation of support plans, encouraging People we support to take an active role in all aspects of daily living (and ensure the appropriate level of individual care and support is identified)
Support people we support with health needs as required (for example, taking medication, attending appointments)
Order, receive, store and administer medication to people we support if and when required; including whilst on outings or on holidays, in accordance with the company's Administration of Medication Policy
