The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support children between the ages of 8 and 17 in a care home setting. This position requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our young people.

Responsibilities

Assist children with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a positive team environment. Maintain accurate records of residents' progress and any changes in their needs. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care. Drive residents to appointments or community activities as required. Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to senior care and IT systems used for documentation.

Requirements

Previous experience in a children's residential home Minimum of a level three in children residential or equivalent Strong supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with residents and staff. Familiarity with developing care plans tailored to individual needs. A valid driving licence is essential for transporting residents as needed. Proficiency in IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is advantageous.
