37 Hours per week - Shifts & Sleep In's. Every other weekend working
The post holder will provide support to looked after children and care leavers aged 16-18+ to promote independent living. They will be inspirational, resilient, persistent and child focused with the care and support they provide. Be able to adopt a parenting role- providing consistent support that is unconditional. Be persistence and consistently show up despite push back. Be able to go above and beyond for our children and young people and are non-judgmental. Be able to adapt their support based on individualised needs of the young people and are always ambitious for them.
Within this leadership role the post holder will be responsible for staff supervision, staffing matters, practice development of the support team, contributing to policies, procedures, risk assessments, rotas, and ensuring that placement plans are followed and high quality support is always provided. They will ensure the welfare and care of the children and young person, and give guidance and support to all supported accommodation workers.
They will deputize in the absence of the management team, where necessary.
Requirements:
Is 22 years of age or above.
Level 3 Diploma in Children's and Young People Workforce.
Have at least two years experience in a residential children's home/supported accommodation setting or similar environment, with skills in managing complex and challenging behaviours.
Has a valid full UK manual driving license.
Take part in the management on call rota.

Job Specific Notes
The post holder will be required to work 'Out of Normal Office Hours' on a
shift rota basis to include working evenings, weekends and bank holidays
. The current rota includes working every other weekend on a six week rolling rota. Maximum hours per week is 42.5 and the minimum hours per week is 30. Staff average 37 hours per week over the six week rolling rota.
This post involves working with children/ adults and therefore if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at an enhanced level. (Exempt from Rehabilitation of Offenders Act, 1974. All 'spent' convictions to be declared.).
