Digartref Cyf is looking to recruit an experienced Senior Support Worker. The role of Senior Supported Housing Worker requires you to provide day to day support, supervision, and direction to a team of supported housing staff that support young people in 24 hour staffed hostels and dispersed accommodation. In addition, you would be required to deliver an effective housing management service, draw up staff rotas to ensure 24-hour staff cover and be available to cover on-call on a rota basis outside of your contracted working week, for which and additional payment is made.
Ideally applicants would be expected to:
Have previous experience of staff management, supported housing and delivering services to vulnerable clients
Have the passion and desire to deliver a high-quality service to vulnerable and complex young people that have been at risk or experienced homelessness.
Have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety issues including risk assessments.
Have excellent IT skills.
Have excellent communication and people skills.
Have a flexible approach to working
Uphold the values and ethos of the service
Be able to drive and have access to a car.
The successful candidate will be required to work to cover some rota shifts which may include weekends, evenings and waking nights. Some shifts will require you to lone work.
