Salary:

44,000 - 47,000 + 10% bonus per annum + regional allowance.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Surveyor to specialise in House Type Approvals and develop their expertise to become a recognised authority in this dynamic and rapidly evolving field. In this role, the Senior Surveyor will play a key part in shaping the future of housing, setting industry standards, and ensuring that every project meets the highest levels of safety and compliance.

What you'll be doing


This is a key opportunity for a Senior Surveyor to specialise in House Type Approvals and become a go-to expert in this dynamic field. You'll help shape the future of housing, drive industry standards, and ensure projects meet the highest levels of safety and compliance.

Working with a skilled team, you'll develop specialist knowledge in this niche area of building control--managing risk and ensuring that warranty products and applications meet all statutory and customer requirements.

Ensure compliance with NHBC and HSE requirements for personal safety and that of others. Deliver technical presentations to both internal and external customers where required. Assist with training, coaching and mentoring of others as required. Manage own workload and allocated tasks by Inspection Manager and Peer Group 1-3 builders to ensure relevant SLA's are achieved. Take responsibility for the assessment of building regulation and warranty applications for residential developments and associated non-residential uses typically over 11 metres high. Assist in implementing business efficiencies and opportunities for growth of the business.




What we're looking for


Senior level experience in the building / construction industry. Experience of plan appraisal of residential developments and associated non-residential uses. Experience in training and mentoring. IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programs. Wider knowledge of Technical Operation SOPs, company Systems & processes. Thorough knowledge of NHBC SOPS and systems relevant Specialism. Chartered membership of an appropriate professional institution. Relevant accredited HND/HNC qualification or substantial industry experience.

The ideal candidate will have

Proven ability to make pragmatic and value decisions on compliance with Building Regulations and NHBC Standards. IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programs. Wider knowledge of Technical Operation SOPs, company Systems & processes. Thorough knowledge of NHBC SOPS and systems relevant Specialism. Significant knowledge of construction l issues and relevant standards/legislation.
