What you'll be responsible for




As a Senior Technical Analyst, you will work within a dynamic and collaborative technical team, managing a broad range of network technologies across multiple vendors including Cisco, Palo Alto, ZScaler, Vodafone, and Microsoft. You'll work with complex network designs and services, cloud technologies, scripting and automation.



Operating within an ITIL-based framework, you'll engage in both project and business-as-usual (BAU) activities, with a focus on implementing, and supporting modern network solutions. You will play a key role in delivering new technologies and ensuring seamless integration into existing infrastructure.



You'll work closely with network architects, lead network projects, mentor junior engineers, reviewing their work, develop automation scripts and optimise network performance.



In a senior role, you'll be more proactive and strategic. Involved in planning, scaling, and future-proofing the network, you'll need skills in leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Your responsibilities will include



Ensuring the continuous support and maintenance of all network-related technologies. Investigating and resolving user-raised incidents and service requests in a timely manner. Managing and monitoring the network infrastructure 24/7 to maintain optimal performance. Validating that all new technologies meet design and security requirements prior to deployment. Collaborating and managing relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners. Implementing and maintaining effective system monitoring and alerting for your technology area. Participating in an out-of-hours support rota to provide round-the-clock operational support. Ensuring all systems within your responsibility are fully patched, secure, and up to date. Supporting other tasks and initiatives as needed to achieve departmental goals and business objectives. Deliver complex network solutions Lead network projects Develop automation scripts and optimise network performance Collaborate with security teams on network hardening

What you'll deliver





High availability (24x7x365) of all network infrastructure services. Timely deployment of security patches and software updates without disrupting service delivery. Effective implementation of infrastructure changes in line with change control processes. Up-to-date and accurate documentation for all network services under your ownership.

About you



Cisco CCNP Qualification (or equivalent) Excellent knowledge of large enterprise networks and cloud infrastructure Extensive experience of working in a 3rd level support environment Evidence of excellent relationship management skills at all levels Experience in most or all of the following: Cisco switching and routing, Cisco Security Appliances (ASAs), Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Wireless, Cisco ISE, Solarwinds monitoring tools, CCNP or equivalent, ZScaler, SD WAN Experience Team player with a strong emphasis on providing excellent customer service Good knowledge and understanding of ITIL management protocols and procedures
Able to work in a pressurised situation during tight project deadlines or operational incidents
