We are looking for a Senior Technical Architect to become a key member of our busy friendly practice within DMWR to work on a range of projects predominantly in the retail, residential and commercial sectors. The successful candidate will champion high quality working practices to ensure that the client's expectations are met on time and within budget.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively lead complex designs from feasibility through to developed design/construction being a key member within project teams.
Prepare tender and construction stage drawings and specifications.
Meet with other professionals and clients at an early stage to agree on the project brief.
Liaising with clients to discuss their needs, managing the relationship, their expectations and updating them on progress.
Evaluate and advise on environmental, legal and regulatory issues.
Advising on materials, technology and processes involved in building design.
Draw up risk assessments, looking at surveys and investigating other issues that could affect how a building is designed.
Collating design information for each project and keeping it up to date.
Preparing documents to support planning permission, liaising with local authorities, building inspectors etc if and when appropriate.
Visiting site to check on progress and inspect work.
Keeping up to date with legislation, standards and technological innovation.
Identifying new business opportunities with current and new clients.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified degree/HNC in relevant architecture discipline.
Experience in PD BSA activities - GAteway 2 Submission experience
Strong project management experience
RIBA/ARB registerted and or MCIAT/CIAT accredited would be desirable.
MCIAT/CIAT accredited would be desirable.
Proficient in Revit with at least 3 years experience.
Proficient in InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite.
Proven track record within the industry.
Detailing experience and specification writing.
Experience on RIBA Stages 3-5
