Senior Technical Project Manager (Portal)

This is a fixed term appointment for 11 months

Salary from 53,204 to 61,301 pa inclusive with potential to progress to 68,119 pa inclusive of London allowance

The London School of Economics is a cosmopolitan university situated in the vibrant centre of London that specialises in the study of social sciences. Our Data and Technology Services division provides services to over 14,000 staff and student users.



We are looking for a Technical Project Manager to join our Project Delivery team. You will play a crucial role in designing and implementing high-quality technology solutions to the LSE. You will manage complex projects and work-packages concurrently, developing accurate plans to enable the overall delivery of projects.



You will be responsible for the end to end delivery of a strategic Intranet Portal across the organisation. You will be accountable for all phases of the project lifecycle--from initiation and planning through to execution, transition to live service, and operational handover. Leveraging your expertise in stakeholder engagement, governance, and risk management, you will ensure the project delivers measurable value, on time and within budget. You will proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues, drive cross-functional collaboration, and maintain oversight of progress to ensure successful outcomes aligned with organisational priorities



Candidates should have:


Substantial project management experience delivering technical solutions

Substantial experience delivering projects and products using effective project management methods, particularly Agile

Knowledge of IT application development and technology-driven project delivery

Professional project management qualification or equivalent experience, Scrum Master qualification preferred
