Service: General Hospital - Private

Care: Theatre- Scrub/Orthopaedics

Salary: \xc2\xa332,000 - \xc2\xa338,000 ( Band 6 ) negotiable depending on experience

Hours: Full time

Contract type: Permanent

About the role:

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Theatre Practitioner / Nurse to join a highly reputable private hospital based in Reading. The hospital has state of the art facilities and this is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Theatre Practitioner / Nurse to join their friendly theatre team. The team are passionate about person centred care and put their patients at the heart of everything they do and looking for a like-minded Senior Theatre Practitioner / Nurse to join them. The hospital covers a wide range of surgical procedures and has 2 theatres, three recovery bays and an endoscopy suite.

Duties and responsibilities

You will be working in the theatre department as part of our nursing team and will be responsible for:

Plan, deliver and evaluate care to meet patients health and wellbeing

Assess patients health across a complex and varied caseload

Contribute to the development of others

Provide and receive complex and sensitive information

Airway management

Preparation of operating theatre/ anaesthetic room

Promote best practice in health and safety and security

Deliver excellent person-centred patient care

Contribute to quality improvement

Who we\'re looking for

Be NMC registered/ ODP - your pin must not have any restrictions or conditions

Eligibility to live and work in the UK

At least 2 years UK experience working with major and minor orthopaedics

Possess infection control and health and safety competencies

Possess equipment and medical devices competencies

Experience working in teams with minimal supervision

Competent across a range of skills and sound clinical knowledge

Strong communication skills

Good team working
