Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner

to join our

Ofsted-regulated therapeutic children's home

About the Role

As a

Senior Residential Childcare Practitioner

, you will play a key leadership role within our therapeutic children's home, supporting and mentoring staff while providing high-quality, trauma-informed care. You will:

Lead and manage shifts within the children's residential home Act as a positive role model for staff and young people Deliver consistent, nurturing and structured care for children and young people Promote trauma-informed practice and positive behaviour support Supervise and mentor Residential Childcare Workers Contribute to care planning, risk assessments and Ofsted-compliant record keeping Oversee routines, activities, education and therapeutic interventions Help create a stable, supportive and safe environment where children can develop and thrive

What We're Looking For



Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

- essential

Experience in a children's residential care home

- essential Previous experience leading shifts or supervising staff Strong understanding of safeguarding and trauma-informed care Resilient, compassionate and child-centred approach

Full UK driving licence

- essential Willingness to work long-day shifts including sleep-ins
