Shift patterns :



This job involves shift work 2 days on/ 4 days off on a rolling rota including sleeping in on those 2 days which could include bank holidays, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities:



To provide high quality, safe therapeutic care to children, acting as a leader and role model to all. To actively contribute to creating and maintaining a therapeutic home whilst always considering the children's wishes and preferences. To take an active role in training new and existing team members. To actively promote and educate others on the Model PACE (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity and empathy) and all other psychological concepts used within the home. To make and support others to make decisions that are in the children's best interests, home and Ubuntu Group- by leading and challenging poor practice. Acknowledge and celebrate positive moments from children and staff To be alert to signs of distress, neglect or abuse, ensuring that the children are monitored and protected. To attend professional meetings on behalf of Ubuntu Group and challenge professionals where appropriate. To know, understand and promote Ubuntu Group's service delivery as a leading provider of therapeutic childcare, as an overall exemplary ambassador.

Education, Training and Qualifications

Minimum one year of experience working with children. Hold or willing to work towards a level 3 or 4 Diploma in Caring for Children and Young People or equivalent. Full UK Driving Licence (required)
