The role
As a Senior Therapeutic Support Worker, you with support the Manager and Deputy Manager in providing leadership and management in the home and supporting both the needs of the young people and your support workers as their line manager.
You will build meaningful, trusting relationships with young people, supporting them through challenges, and empower them to develop confidence, independence and a sense of belonging. This is a rewarding role where you can make a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting staff via positive and effective team working, to achieve high standards of care.
Supervise and undertake lead key-working responsibilities, overseeing the implementation and adaptation of young peoples risk assessments and care plans.
Establish and maintain positive and productive networks with communities and other agencies.
Maximise educational opportunities and achievements for young people, supporting educational provision and contributing to educational reviews.
Contribute to the assessment and appraisal of team members using discussion, direct observation and a range of other methods to enhance performance and promote professional development.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) with children, families, colleagues and external agencies.
Ability to maintain appropriate routines, boundaries and role model positive behaviours.
Capacity to handle crises and challenging behaviours calmly and professionally.
Adaptability and willingness to respond positively to change.
Qualifications and Requirements:
To hold NVQ/QCF/CYP Level 3 or Level Health and Social Care (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
The ability to work within the current legislative framework and organisation's policies and procedures.
You will be required to engage in ongoing training, supervision, and personal development, including mandatory physical intervention and first aid training.
Full UK Driving Licence.
