Job Description

Seven Logistics is looking for an experienced Senior Transport Planner with strong communication skills, good customer facing and experience of leading a busy planning team. As an experienced traffic planner, you will have a wealth of knowledge to help support the day-to-day functions of the traffic office and ensuring our customers receive the best service we can offer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Planning work from Felixstowe, London Gateway, Whittlesea and Southampton Managing allocated trucks and ensuring revenues and service levels are met Managing drivers and ensuring communication and relationships are kept up to high levels Ensure all current day issues are managed and resolved efficiently Booking and ensuring VBS are booked correctly Travel to other depot's will be required including regular visits to our Southampton depot

Skills and Attributes Required:

A minimum of 5 years' experience in a planning role with at least 2 years in a senior position A minimum of 2 years' experience of leading a planning team Ability to maintain a high level of traffic planning under pressure Understanding of port and VBS systems Knowledge of haulage and container industry Good customer facing skills Attention to detail and good organisational skills Ability to work to tight deadlines Good people and team building skills Ability to multi-task Can do attitude Good Team player A driven, confident and motivated individual Excellent at problem solving Good written and verbal communication skills Demonstrable IT skills
