Job Description

Seven logistics is looking for an experienced Transport Planner with strong communication skills, good customer facing and the ability to lead a team. As an experienced traffic planner you will have a wealth of knowledge to help support the day to day functions of the traffic office and ensuring our customers receive the best service we can offer.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Planning work from Felixstowe and London Gateway on allocated traffic sheet Managing allocated trucks and ensuring revenues and service levels are met Managing drivers and ensuring communication and relationships are kept up to high levels Ensure all current day issues are managed and resolved efficiently Booking and ensuring VBS are booked correctly

Skills and Attributes Required:

Essential - More than 5 years of experience in a planning role Ability to maintain a high level of traffic planning under pressure Knowledge of Truckcom preferred Understanding of port and VBS systems Knowledge of haulage and container industry Good customer facing skills Attention to detail and good organisational skills Ability to work to tight deadlines Good people and team building skills Ability to multi-task Can do attitude Good Team player Ability to lead a team A driven, confident and motivated individual Excellent at problem solving Good written and verbal communication skills Demonstrable IT skills
