Job Summary


As we expand into 2025, we are looking for a Senior Trip Designer and Sales Specialist to join our team. You will take the lead on designing, selling, and refining high-value, bespoke travel experiences for our clients. This role requires a strong sales-driven mindset, experience in trip planning, and the ability to upsell and enhance client bookings. You will also play a key role in business development, ensuring customer engagement from the initial enquiry to post-trip follow-up.

Responsibilities:



Develop and sell custom multi-destination trips, ensuring high levels of service and detail. Convert leads into confirmed bookings through a consultative sales approach. Work closely with high-value clients to understand their travel preferences and budgets. Identify and implement opportunities to upsell and enhance client experiences. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, securing exclusive experiences and best rates. Handle all booking and administrative elements, ensuring seamless trip execution. Oversee pricing, ensuring profit margins align with company targets. Provide real-time support during client trips to ensure quality and satisfaction. Actively engage in marketing efforts, contributing to social media and promotional content. Conduct outbound sales calls to generate leads, build and nurture an ongoing pipeline, and increase revenue. Research and develop new tour offerings, staying ahead of industry trends.

About You:



You will have excellent communication and customer service skills You will have experience working as a travel agent/planner or consultant You will have a well-rounded knowledge of the travel industry You will have proven experience of business development and be able to influence others, to convert enquiries into bookings with a quick turnaround You will thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will be detail-oriented with a commitment to high service standards You will have the ability to deal with clients effectively over the phone, emails and other channels such as video calls and social media You will strive to increase the value of each booking by taking advantage of opportunities to upsell, repackage and add ancillary products You will be able to work with costings in line with Trip budgets, with an understanding of profit margins You will have a positive, can-do attitude with a commitment to the success and growth of the Company You will be able to manage conflicting priorities and solve problems effectively You will have a strong attention to detail You will be comfortable using IT systems such as Notion, Slack, and travel CRM systems You will have a strong work ethic and be a team player Ideally you will have great copywriting skills and an eye for design Ideally you will understand national markets including the USA/Germany (language skills would be an advantage) Ideally you will have local knowledge of Scotland and what it has to offer
