Location: Croydon (in-person only)

Hours: Wed-Fri 4:00pm-7:00pm, Saturday 09:30am-3:30pm

Contract: Permanent

Salary: 15.00 per hour

Students Achieve is a well-established education centre providing high-quality tuition in English, Maths and Science from Reception to GCSE. Our mission is to inspire confidence, build solid academic foundations and help every child achieve their best.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Senior Tutor to join our team. This role is primarily focused on tutoring but also includes supporting smooth day-to-day operations within the centre.

Who We're Looking For

Experienced Tutors, Teachers or Teaching Assistants Confident teaching English, Maths and Science up to GCSE level Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Reliable, punctual and committed to consistent attendance Positive, enthusiastic and passionate about supporting young learners Organised and able to assist with light operational duties when required

Responsibilities

Tutoring

Deliver engaging 1:1 and small group tuition across English, Maths and Science (ages 4-16) Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum Support students with exam preparation, confidence building and learning strategies Provide feedback and communicate progress to parents when needed Maintain a positive, calm and supportive learning environment

Centre Support

Assist with:

Welcoming families and answering basic queries Preparing teaching materials, booklets and assessments Classroom organisation and centre set-up End-of-day tasks and light admin Support the Centre Manager to ensure efficient centre operations Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and centre policies

Requirements

Minimum GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science At least 2 years of tutoring experience (required) Confident teaching English, Maths and Science to GCSE Strong communication and organisational skills Consistent attendance and punctuality
