About this role:
As a Senior UX Researcher, you'll be part of a UX team looking after the apps and websites our customers use to order their food globally.
We work in cross-functional teams made up of Designers, Researchers, Copywriters, Product Managers, Analysts and Engineers. The way we work is collaborative and fast-paced. We want to discover what our users will love as soon as we can. We like to explore problems in-depth, and we like to speak with our users on a regular basis, to explore what we are working on and help us understand their needs.
At JET, you'll make research and user-centricity a key part of the product and design decisions. You'll be hungry for insights - keen to get stuck in and uncover our users' needs across the end-to-end experience. You'll work both independently and together with other researchers to deliver impactful, robust, and timely findings that make real differences in our users' experiences.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
Working with cross-functional partners to identify and prioritise research needs and opportunities
Tackling complex problems and working with ambiguity
Digging deeper to understand the underlying issue and/or goal for our users
Being an advocate for accessible and inclusive design solutions
Use your storytelling skills to influence and you bring research to life in your presentations and reports
Mentor and coach less experienced members of the team and support community-building activities
Develop relationships and act as a strategic partner
A proactive, hands-on approach and ability to take ownership of the entire research process, from ideation through to playback, with a focus on working collaboratively
What will you bring to the table?
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
Strong knowledge of different research methods and understanding of when to apply one method over another
Skilled in turning open and ambiguous research needs into clear and compelling questions, activities & outcomes
Experience translating research into business impact and bringing insights to life in a clear, concise and compelling way
Experience in establishing best practices and robust research processes
Strong knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design, and experience conducting research with people with accessibility needs - or a willingness to learn
A growth-oriented outlook, with a desire to learn and improve
