About the role

We're looking for a passionate, inquisitive and insightful Senior UX Researcher to join our multidisciplinary team at Tesco.




The Senior User Researcher role will be joining our Tesco Retail Media team. It's an exciting opportunity to shape the future of retail media and to work with market-leading businesses to explore new opportunities for us and influence global retailers.


Your work will be focused on ensuring our products and services effectively address the needs of shoppers, advertisers and agencies. You will explore how our different user groups engage and use our retail media products to uncover user needs and translate insights into strategic recommendations that drive strategy, product, and design decisions.


You will be responsible for



Design and execute end-to-end research projects using various qualitative and quantitative methods to uncover user needs and behaviours. Drive business impact by translating research findings into actionable insights and recommendations that guide the product strategy and roadmap - influencing business, product and design decisions. Create compelling and concise deliverables, including reports, presentations, and workshops, to communicate research insights effectively. Collaborate cross-functionally by bringing together product, design, engineering and business teams to align and foster collaboration in addressing user challenges. Push for user-centricity by advocating for the value of user research and evangelise research insights, promoting a user-centred mindset across teams and stakeholders. Democratise research by mentoring colleagues on best practices for embedding research into product development and design processes. Stay informed about industry trends, tools, and methodologies to continuously improve the impact of user research.

You will need



Previous experience in marketing, media or the AdTech industry. Strong analytical mindset with experience in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Proven ability to translate complex data into strategic insights and clear recommendations. Expert storyteller and communicator able to engage and encourage confidence across different teams. Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams. Skilled at prioritising and delivering research in ambiguous, dynamic environments. Adept at facilitating workshops and collaborative sessions to drive alignment and innovation.
