Our Client, a Prominent All Makes and Models Vehicle Workshop, is seeking a Senior Vehicle Technician for the Horsham location. The rewards and benefits of working for our client make them stand out from other garages in the local area.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our commitment to delivering high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
In this Senior Vehicle Technician role, your day-to-day responsibilities will includes
Overseeing and conducting vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and complex repairs following manufacturers' guidelines.
Leading and mentoring junior technicians, guiding best practices and technical expertise.
Diagnosing complex vehicle issues, ensuring repairs are carried out to the highest standard.
Communicating with Vehicle Service Receptionists to discuss required repairs and time estimates.
Ensuring accurate and detailed maintenance and repair records are kept.
Testing repaired systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and safely.
Managing workshop resources effectively to meet job deadlines and enhance productivity.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of workshop processes and customer service standards.
Experience
Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role in the automotive industry.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex vehicle issues effectively.
Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive engineering or mechanics are advantageous but not essential.
