DESCRIPTION


Amazon Fresh Private Brands team (AFPB) is creating a portfolio of private brands in the grocery space across a wide range of categories and quality tiers. Our mission is to create the private brands customers can't live without and enable Amazon to be customers' grocery retailer of choice.



To deliver on this mission, we are looking for a Senior Vendor Manager who will play a critical role in sourcing vendors, building relationships with them and establishing Amazon a credible partner in the space of Grocery private brands. You will be at the forefront of vendor negotiations, business management and strategic planning for your categories/vendors.




The ideal candidate has a proven track record of successful negotiations, building strong relationships and critical thinking. You must be able to influence across multiple organizations, have a strong financial understanding and have a history of delivering results. You will establish, drive and strengthen relationships with key private brands suppliers. You will be customer focused, entrepreneurial, a proven self-starter, and have the demonstrated ability to invent.

Key job responsibilities

Be an expert relationship manager and communicator, who works closely with suppliers up to C-level to ensure Amazon customers can always find their products in store or line, at competitive prices and high quality Act as the 'business owner' for their categories, managing a full P&L, including; planning, forecasting and driving growth to meet revenue and profitability goals. Setting the goals and strategic direction for their vendors and initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader business goals Generating and implementing big ideas to drive business improvement, innovation, and scale within their categories Driving negotiations and representing Amazon when meeting with senior leaders Collaborating with cross-functional teams that support business needs, including product development, food-safety, sustainability, marketing and in-stock. Own and drive projects, areas of expertise and business metrics at UK or European level, working closely with leaders across the Grocery business

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree, or experience in a professional field or military Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL Experience with Excel Experience in account management, project/program management, or buying Experience using data to influence business decisions Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration Experience with business analysis and P&L management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL Prior experience in Grocery, FMCG industries or in delivering go-to-market launches for consumer products Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-moving environment Demonstrated ability to coordinate with stakeholders sophisticated projects Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including written.
