Role Summary



The Senior Workshop Technician is responsible for supporting the Workshop Manager with workshop activities to ensure the correct and timely application of planned maintenance and repairs to ROV systems and tooling equipment, and contribute towards continuous improvements to the ROV systems, tooling and workshop facilities. Key duties and responsibilities to include, but are not limited to:

Establish and maintain operational workshop facilities for the mobilisation, demobilisation, refurbishment, maintenance and repair of ROV systems and tooling equipment in accordance with workshop procedures and under the direction of the Workshop Manager Ensure all ROV equipment in base is fully serviceable, secure and kept in good condition Report faults, damage or repairs to ROV equipment, tooling, workshop equipment or building facilities Perform pre/post deployment checks and QC audits in line with ROVOP processes Carrying out inventory checks within the ROV and tooling systems Supervision of workshop Apprentices, Trainees, offshore personnel and any third parties Ensuring all maintenance and repair records are documented and logged within network folders or IMS Liaise with the operation department to prepare for future operational requirements and assist in project field mobilisations Communicate with Technical Manager, Project Managers and offshore teams to allow an accurate and timely delivery of ROV equipment and ensure equipment repairs are carried out in a timely and commercially viable manner Work closely with the logistics team to assist with the transport of equipment to/from projects Maintain inventory backup equipment items, spare parts and consumables Operation of forklift truck and gantry crane Assist with workshop deliveries and driving duties Maintain good housekeeping practices in all areas of workshop, yard and test tank Provide cover/support where necessary for other members of the workshop team.

About You



You must be time-served and industrially trained in Hydraulics/Mechanical and have a working knowledge of ROV's.

Desirable qualities would also be previous experience in a similar workshop role, with knowledge of Schilling/manipulators.

The candidate should be personable and able to engage, support and provide good co-operation at all levels. Additionally with good communication, organisational skills and Presentation skills.
