Position: Senior / Associate Fa\xc3\xa7ade Consultant (Survey and Investigations)

Location: Surrey

Salary: Neg DOE

The Job: Great Opportunity for a Senior Fa\xc3\xa7ade Consultant to Lead The Client Fa\xc3\xa7ade Design Business Area with an exciting well established Consultancy

Responsibilities:

• Promoting our facade design services to clients and winning new project work.
• Developing the Client Fa\xc3\xa7ade Design business into new areas of consultancy.
• Developing the team including assisting with the recruitment of new staff, with the Director.
• Developing the specifications and other technical data, together with other staff and the Director.
• Leading and managing design projects, large and small.
• Leading and managing facade refurbishment and re-cladding projects.
• Keeping a library of facade contractors and specialists in various areas.
• Creation of standard methods of design, standard details and procedures.
• When necessary, production of drawings using AutoCAD or other software.
• Checking the work of our staff and external design and drafting consultants.
• Finding new products and keeping our library of facade product information up-to-date.
• Assisting the Directors, Associates and senior staff with other tasks as required.
• Visit site, investigation and survey of fa\xc3\xa7ades and monitoring of construction as and when necessary, on projects.

Requirements:

• Batchelors Degree in Engineering or Architecture
• Demonstrate a good portfolio of fa\xc3\xa7ade engineering work
• Experience of liasing with team members of all levels within an organisation and effective teamworking.
• Excellent organisational ability & attention to detail
• Ability to take direction from senior colleagues and directors
• Demonstrate a level of confidentiality when dealing with clients

Desirable

• Masters Degree in a related subject
• Membership of the Society of Fa\xc3\xa7ade Engineering
• Chartered Status through CIBSE, RIBA or IStructE
• Experience in guiding less experienced colleagues
• Experience in managing a team of fa\xc3\xa7ade engineers/consultants on projects
• Demonstrate a good portfolio of fa\xc3\xa7ade engineering work
• Experience of liasing with team members of all levels within an organisation and effective teamworking.
