About You
What you'll be doing as a Sensory Support Worker:
Supporting people who have sight, hearing, or dual sensory impairments out in the community to maintain their independence.
Assisting with activities such as shopping, finance, or correspondence, accessing sports and leisure facilities or attending health appointments.
To be considered as a Sensory Support Worker, you need:
A full driving licence.
Access to a car to travel and transport customers.
To be a confident driver.
To be able to work on your own initiative out in the community as well as be able to work as part of an expanding team.
Enjoy working with people and are keen to enable independence.
Travel required across Essex and potentially London to support with health appointments.
British Sign Language (BSL) skills and/or qualifications would be advantageous to your application. Candidates with BSL will receive an hourly rate of 15 per hour. Non-BSL roles also available.
