We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Content & SEO Executive to join our dynamic digital team for a 6-month term. This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on our online visibility and content effectiveness. You will be instrumental in optimising our website content, improving search engine rankings, and enhancing the overall user experience on vax.co.uk, utilising the BrightEdge SEO platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation & Optimisation:
Develop and optimise engaging, high-quality content for product descriptions, category pages, landing pages, and potentially blog/article content, ensuring it aligns with Vax's brand voice and SEO best practices.
Conduct keyword research using BrightEdge and other tools to identify opportunities and ensure content is targeting relevant search terms.
Optimise on-page SEO elements including meta titles, meta descriptions, header tags, image alt text, and internal linking structures within the Magento platform.
Review and update existing website content to improve SEO performance, accuracy, and user engagement.
SEO Strategy & Execution:
Utilise the BrightEdge platform for keyword tracking, competitor analysis, site audits (via features like ContentIQ), and identifying content gaps.
Monitor and analyse website performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and BrightEdge, providing regular reports on key SEO metrics (organic traffic, rankings, conversions).
Assist in the implementation of the SEO strategy, focusing on improving organic search visibility and driving qualified traffic to vax.co.uk.
Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices.
Magento Platform Management:
Work directly within the Magento CMS to implement content changes, update SEO parameters, and ensure optimal site structure.
Liaise with the development team or agency on technical SEO fixes and improvements identified through audits and analysis.
Ensure new product uploads are SEO-optimised from launch.
Collaboration & Reporting:
Collaborate with the wider marketing and e-commerce teams to ensure content and SEO strategies are integrated.
Provide clear and actionable insights based on data analysis to relevant stakeholders.
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in a Content & SEO focused role, preferably within an e-commerce environment.
Hands-on experience with e-commerce platforms, specifically Magento (CMS and SEO functionalities).
Proficiency in using SEO software, with direct experience of BrightEdge being highly advantageous.
Strong understanding of on-page SEO, keyword research, technical SEO principles, and content strategy.
Experience with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
Excellent written communication and copywriting skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to adapt to a specific brand voice.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and generate actionable insights.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
A genuine interest in digital marketing and a drive to achieve results.
Desirable Skills:
Experience with other SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog).
Basic understanding of HTML/CSS.
Experience in the home appliances or a related consumer goods sector.
