As an SEO Content Specialist you'll be supporting the delivery of high-quality, optimised written content across Betway's website, blog and in-app platforms. This will help us excel at increasing organic visibility, driving targeted traffic and improving search engine rankings to stay ahead of the game.
What you'll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:Use regular planning sessions to develop new content ideas and wider campaigns around major sporting events. Plan and produce editorial content including betting articles, informational guides, interviews and other series that support the wider business goals. Conduct SEO research to identify relevant keywords, article topics and opportunities to drive organic traffic. Work with social media teams to ensure written content is being delivered as effectively as possible across Betway's social channels and in-app content platforms. Edit and publish content from brand ambassadors and external contributors, and ensure consistent formatting and tone of voice. Work with Country teams, the wider SEO team and external agencies to ensure best practice is being followed on foreign-language blogs. Communicate with other internal stakeholders (Brand, Sponsorship, CRM, Compliance) to ensure all editorial content works alongside the targets of the wider business. Help compile monthly reports and quarterly business reviews containing KPIs across all internal content. Monitor the latest trends and developments in the sports betting industry to generate fresh and relevant content ideas. Stay up-to-date with Google algorithm changes and other SEO updates and adapt content strategies accordingly to maintain search visibility and rankings. Promote SEO awareness and best practice across the business Consult with internal stakeholders and build effective working relationships.

Essential skills you'll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:A proven track record in sports journalism and digital content production An encyclopaedic knowledge of sport and an interest in betting Digital Marketing and SEO expertise Experience with Content Management Systems (such as WordPress) Excellent planning and organisational skills A great communicator with outstanding writing ability Strong attention to detail, copy editing experience

Desirable skills you've got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:Understanding of Google Analytics and Search Console Experience with SEO tools such as SEMRush and Ahrefs In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
