Who is this role for?



We are looking for an ambitious self-starter to work within a small team focused on building a niche set of loan brokering brands. Ideally, this role suits someone with excellent SEO and copywriting experience looking to transition to an SEO strategist position.

In addition to a portfolio of outstanding written content, you must possess strong Excel and data skills, a demonstrable understanding of core SEO principles, and experience in WordPress content management.

How will you support our goals?



As the Copywriter, you'll deliver exceptional written content to support the SEO plan and wider marketing channel content across our financial service brands. You will inspire and educate customers in short and long form to deliver our brand, customer, and commercial goals. You'll be fundamental in ensuring the timely and successful delivery of our SEO and marketing copy.

As the SEO Content Strategist, you will ensure that the content you produce aligns with our broader SEO strategy and adheres to the latest principles of SEO optimisation. You will regularly conduct content audits to measure the effectiveness of our web content against our commercial targets and provide recommendations to enhance SEO efficiency. You will possess the knowledge necessary to audit website content and implement SEO recommendations.

What will you be doing day to day?



SEO Content Strategy



Creating effective content strategies to drive more traffic.

Auditing web content against key SEO principles (keyword research, semantic relevance, internal linking, backlinks, taxonomies).

Examining data on analytics and search console to optimise campaigns further and create actionable tasks.

Maintain a strong awareness of the competitive landscape and audit key competitors' content strategies.

Copywriting



Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and an external agency to develop our onsite SEO content and ensure we provide a valuable user experience.

Creating informative, accessible, SEO-rich copy (such as FAQS, page content, and articles). This will involve producing engaging and easy-to-understand language for the average consumer while maintaining the brand's tone of voice.

Content Management and Digital Platforms



Upload content to the website using the WordPress CMS. Verify that the published content is accurate.

A basic understanding of HTML is necessary to ensure the content is formatted correctly.

Legal and approval processes



Oversee the content approval process internally and with our marketing partners.

Ensure compliance with regulations (FCA, ASA, GDPR).

What are the key requirements for the role?



Experience producing high-quality written content.

Experience in an SEO-focused role, whether at an agency, in-house, or freelancer.

An understanding of keyword research, competitor analysis, and content strategies.

A keen interest in the ever-changing Google Search Algorithm.

A thorough understanding of on-page SEO and a desire to continue developing these skills.

Understanding and a working knowledge of relevant industry tools and their best uses (Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMRush, etc.).

An analytical mindset, whilst still being able to be creative.

Excel skills - for data analysis and manipulation.

A results-driven personality with a strong sense of ownership and willingness to go the extra mile to get things done.

Working knowledge of basic HTML & CSS.

Ability to plan your time and responsibilities effectively.

Good understanding of using WordPress
