Job Description

Job Summary

As an SEO Manager, you'll be at the forefront of driving real, measurable growth for our clients. You'll craft and lead powerful SEO strategies, combining technical expertise with creative thinking to maximise online visibility and performance.

We're seeking a proactive, data-driven strategist who lives and breathes SEO - someone who excels at delivering exceptional results and staying ahead of every algorithm update. You'll work closely with our talented SEO team to create and execute campaigns, support client success, and champion SEO excellence across the agency.

At Tradectory, we invest in your development. You'll have access to continuous training, hands-on learning, and our own proven SEO methodology to help you grow, both professionally and personally, as part of an ambitious, collaborative team shaping the future of digital marketing.

What You'll Be Doing

Client:

Develop and deliver data-driven SEO strategies that align with each client's business goals and drive measurable growth. Conduct in-depth SEO audits and analysis to uncover opportunities and resolve technical or content-related issues. Perform detailed keyword research to identify high-value opportunities that boost visibility and traffic. Create and optimise on-page content, landing pages, and metadata to enhance rankings and engagement. Collaborate with our wider marketing team to develop cohesive, multi-channel campaigns that drive results. Oversee technical SEO elements -- including site architecture, crawlability, indexing, and performance to ensure seamless site health. Provide clients and internal teams with clear, insightful performance reports and actionable recommendations. Lead regular client meetings, presenting strategy updates, results, and next steps with confidence and clarity.

Agency:

Be the driving force for SEO within Tradectory, championing best practices, innovation, and integration across all teams. Educate and inspire colleagues by sharing insights, trends, and performance updates that highlight the value of SEO in achieving client success. Contribute to the evolution of Tradectory's SEO methodology, helping to refine processes, tools, and strategies for even greater impact.

Personal:

Stay ahead of the curve by keeping up to date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and search engine innovations. Cultivate a deeper understanding of how other marketing channels, from paid media to PR and UX, influence SEO performance. Identify and strengthen areas for improvement, taking ownership of your professional growth to become a well-rounded SEO specialist.

Skills & Experience

3+ years of hands-on experience in an SEO role, ideally within a fast-paced agency environment. Experience in client-facing roles. Managing expectations and building strong relationships is key. Proven track record of implementing successful SEO strategies across diverse industries. Proficient in industry-standard tools such as Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, and Majestic/Ahrefs/SEMrush. Strong time management skills - able to balance multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Confident working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to present data and insights clearly. A solid understanding of HTML is a bonus.

Characteristics

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills - able to convey ideas clearly and persuasively. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. Confident in your expertise and decision-making. Collaborative team player with a strong client-focused mindset, skilled at building and maintaining effective relationships. Highly organised, with a knack for managing multiple priorities seamlessly. Self-driven, ambitious, and motivated to achieve both personal and team goals. Brings energy, positivity, and a good sense of humour to the workplace.
