As one of the leading brands for lighting on Amazon UK, we are looking to further develop the position of our own B2C website and are looking for the right person to join and drive that growth with us.
Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented SEO & PPC Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of search engine optimisation strategies and techniques, with a proven track record of improving website visibility and driving organic traffic. You will also have run our google ads account to optimise ROAS, and drive sales and profitability through google ads. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, technical knowledge, and creativity to enhance our online presence and achieve our digital marketing goals.
SEO Responsibilities
You will have full responsibility for the SEO of our B2C site.
Conduct thorough keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimisation and growth.
Develop and implement effective SEO strategies to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.
Monitor and analyse website performance using tools such as Google Search Console and Google Analytics.
Optimise website content, including metadata, headings, and images, to align with best SEO practices.
Collaborate with content creators to ensure that all published material is optimised for search engines.
Manage on-page SEO elements within content management systems like WordPress, ensuring proper use of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript where necessary.
Set up and manage tracking tags using Google Tag Manager to measure the effectiveness of campaigns.
Stay updated on the latest SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry best practices to maintain competitive advantage.
Reporting of SEO results and on going planning and benchmarks
Google PPC Requirements
Proven experience managing and optimizing Google Ads campaigns with significant budgets.
Strong understanding of PPC, keyword strategies, retargeting, and audience segmentation.
Proficient with Google Ads, Google Analytics, GTM, and conversion tracking.
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
Experience with ecommerce (if relevant) and/or lead generation models.
Google Ads certification(s) preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex data in a clear way.
Plan, build, and execute PPC campaigns across Google Ads platforms (Search, Display, Shopping, YouTube).
Perform detailed keyword research, competitor analysis, and audience targeting.
Create ad copy and test variations to improve CTR and Quality Scores.
Performance Optimization
Monitor campaign performance daily and adjust bids, targeting, and budgets to improve ROI.
Use A/B testing for ads, landing pages, and bidding strategies.
Identify and remove underperforming keywords and placements.
Reporting & Analysis
Track key metrics such as CPC, CTR, CPA, ROAS, and conversion rate.
Generate weekly/monthly performance reports with insights and recommendations.
Use tools like Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Looker Studio (Data Studio) for deep analysis.
Collaboration & Communication
Coordinate with content and design teams for ad creatives and landing pages.
Communicate strategy, progress, and performance to stakeholders and/or clients.
Stay updated on Google Ads policy changes, new features, and industry trends.
Skills
Proficiency in using Google Search Console for monitoring site performance.
Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as they relate to SEO.
Experience with WordPress or other content management systems for website management.
Familiarity with Google Tag Manager for effective tracking implementation.
Solid grasp of SEO principles including keyword research, on-page optimisation, and link building strategies.
Ability to analyse data effectively to inform decision-making processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
A proactive approach to problem-solving with a keen attention to detail.
We are looking for somebody with 2-3 years experience in these areas, with a proven track record of delivering and achieving targets.
