Duties

Greet and seat guests promptly upon arrival, ensuring a warm welcome. Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage options, including daily specials. Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff efficiently. Assist with food preparation as needed, adhering to food safety standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high service standards. Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, providing assistance as necessary. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts.

Requirements

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards. Basic maths skills for handling payments and processing transactions accurately. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during busy periods. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Strong communication skills with an emphasis on guest services and hospitality. A willingness to learn about menu items and contribute positively to the team atmosphere.
