Duties

Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel valued and attended to. Take food and drink orders accurately, using basic maths skills to process transactions efficiently. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets our culinary standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience while maximising sales opportunities. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest queries effectively. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the dining area. Assist with food preparation as needed, collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely service. Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure all guests receive prompt attention. Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, striving for resolution and satisfaction.

Skills

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills. Ability to upsell menu items confidently and effectively. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Excellent guest service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour. Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary processes is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours.

Pay: From 13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 30 per week
