Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly manner, ensuring they feel valued and comfortable. Take accurate food and drink orders using the restaurant's ordering system. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations during food preparation and service. Assist with the setup and cleaning of tables, as well as maintaining cleanliness in the dining area. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns. Handle guest inquiries and complaints professionally, providing solutions where possible.

Skills

Strong guest services skills with a focus on creating positive dining experiences. Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and processing payments accurately. Excellent time management abilities to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy periods. A background in culinary arts is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm for food is key. Experience in upselling techniques to promote menu items effectively. Familiarity with restaurant operations, including kitchen processes and food preparation methods. A helpful attitude towards both guests and team members, contributing to a supportive work environment.

Pay: 7.55-12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 20 per week
