As a key member of our front-of-house staff, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring each guest feels valued.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all guest requests are met. Provide recommendations on menu items, including upselling specials and promotions. Serve food and beverages promptly while adhering to food safety standards. Assist with food preparation as needed, ensuring that all dishes are presented to the highest standards. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments. Handle guest inquiries or complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction at all times. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and address any issues that may arise during service. Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred, but not required--we value the right attitude and willingness to learn. Knowledge of food safety standards and a basic understanding of allergens (training provided if necessary). Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Basic math skills for accurately handling payments and balancing checks. Team player with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From 13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week

Work Location: In person
