Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders, ensuring attention to detail. Serve food and beverages promptly, adhering to food safety standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience and increase sales. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and delivery of orders. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables and utensils. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, ensuring satisfaction. Assist in food preparation as needed, following proper culinary techniques. Perform basic math calculations for order totals and payments. Manage time effectively to ensure efficient service during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of food safety practices and procedures. Basic culinary skills with an understanding of food preparation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Strong guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere. Ability to upsell menu items effectively to enhance customer experience. Experience working in a kitchen environment is advantageous but not essential. A positive attitude, team player mentality, and willingness to learn are essential traits for success in this role.
