Responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism. Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring all details are captured. Serve food and beverages in a timely manner, adhering to food safety standards. Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of the menu, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries effectively. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and timely delivery of orders. Manage tables efficiently, ensuring guests have everything they need throughout their dining experience. Handle payments accurately and process transactions in accordance with restaurant policies. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including resetting tables for new guests.

Experience

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred. Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations is essential. Basic culinary knowledge or kitchen experience is advantageous. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods. Excellent communication skills to engage with guests and team members effectively. Ability to perform basic math calculations for handling bills and payments. A proactive attitude towards upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
