Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional guest services and a keen interest in the culinary arts. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests have a memorable dining experience by delivering high-quality service, assisting with food preparation, and effectively upselling menu items.

Duties

Greet and welcome guests in a friendly and professional manner. Take accurate food and drink orders while providing recommendations based on guest preferences. Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring that all items are presented beautifully. Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety. Upsell menu items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales. Manage time efficiently to ensure timely service during busy periods. Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, striving to provide solutions that enhance satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including tables, utensils, and condiments. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is advantageous. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Basic maths skills for processing payments and handling transactions accurately. A commitment to upholding food safety standards in all aspects of service. Exceptional guest service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. A team player who can work collaboratively with colleagues in a busy environment.
