Job Summary


We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their vehicle needs are understood and addressed efficiently. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, recommending additional services through upselling, and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. A strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent communication skills is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities



Greet customers warmly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport. Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately record vehicle issues and service requirements. Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly, ensuring customers understand their choices. Upsell additional services or products that meet the customer's needs, enhancing their overall experience. Prepare detailed service orders and estimates, ensuring all information is accurate and complete. Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services and communicate updates to customers. Handle cash transactions accurately, maintaining proper records in accordance with company policies. Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business. Maintain organised records of customer interactions, service history, and payments.

Skills



Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Mechanical knowledge or experience within the automotive industry is highly desirable. Proven ability in upselling additional services or products tactfully without pressuring customers. Competent in cash handling procedures with attention to accuracy and security. Organised with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a friendly demeanour.
