SERVICE ADVISOR



Salary - up to 30,000 per year depending on experience plus bonus



Kirkcaldy Ford Centre are part of a family-owned Group of Ford Dealerships located in Dundee, Fife, the Lothians and the Scottish borders and this is a great opportunity to work for a family run company that value their employees. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Service Advisor to join us at Kirkcaldy Ford Centre.

Our Service Advisors are responsible for delivering and maintaining a fantastic experience for all our aftersales customers.

We're looking for an articulate, warm communicator who can give our customers the star treatment - whether it's first thing on a Monday or last thing on a Friday afternoon.

This customer-facing role will be a great fit for someone who's already worked in a customer service position and genuinely enjoys exceeding expectations and creating positive outcomes.

An efficient, experienced, competent, and proactive individual is required, who can work equally as well independently and part of a team.

The ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is essential, whilst adhering to Manufacture programs and standards.

Previous Ford experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Maintaining our five star level of customer service is the cornerstone of our business. We are looking for an individual to continue to build on our already winning formula and have the right skill set to ensure we have the best possible team going forward.

Essential skills



Experience in a selling/customer service environment.

Strong communication and influencing skills.

A high level of accuracy and the ability to multi-task within a busy environment.

Strong attention to detail.

The ability to work both in a team and independently.

Computer literacy and knowledge of using IT systems and various motor industry applications.

Demonstrate extensive knowledge of service department process.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Passion for great customer service and the confidence to resolve any issues that may arise efficiently and in a timely manner.

Demonstrable computer literacy and knowledge of IT systems and applications.

The ability to multi-task and be highly adaptable within a busy environment.

Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability and desire to explain complex information accurately and concisely to help our customers.

Strong organisational skills to schedule work effectively, balancing the needs of the customer and the capacity of the workshop.

Ability to prioritise your workload.

Ability and willingness to work with defined processes and guidelines.

Good core administration skills to accurately capture customer details to the required standards.

A full UK driving licence.

Day-to-day duties



Handling all customer requirements for service and vehicle repairs in an efficient and professional manner.

Liaising with the workshop to ensure that customer requirements are fulfilled and communicated accurately.

Following the company's digital journey from booking in a customer to creating their invoice for payment.

Explaining fully to customers any faults or repairs found on their vehicle and providing them with clear and accurate solutions.

Treating any dissatisfied customers with empathy and understanding and having the confidence to take a positive approach in finding solutions.

Maintaining knowledge of aftersales products and services and upselling where appropriate.

Making sure the customer database is updated and accurate at all times.

Identifying parts required for a vehicle.

Communicating with the workshop.

Providing a quick and accurate service to our customers.

Invoicing.

Reviewing digital communications for customers.
