Service and Breakdown Engineer

Key Responsibilities



Perform routine service checks and respond to breakdowns promptly to ensure minimum disruption to services. Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment, adhering to industry standards and safety regulations. Coordinate effectively with internal teams and external contractors to optimise repair processes. Implement preventative measures to avoid future breakdowns and enhance system reliability Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used, ensuring transparency and traceability. Participate in an on-call rota to provide support during off-peak hours where required

Minimum Essential Criteria



Proven track record in a service or maintenance engineering role, particularly responding to breakdown scenarios. Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. A full UK driving licence is required. Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental regulations. Gas related qualifications - Domestic: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1

Desirable:

Oil related qualifications - OFT10-101, OFT10-105e, OFT10-600a

Skills and Aptitudes



Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and strong attention to detail Strong technical acumen with experience using a variety of diagnostic tools and software. Outstanding communication skills, able to interact effectively with stakeholders and customers
