The Service Engineer will work both independently and as part of a team, tackling a variety of tasks that require technical expertise and problem-solving abilities.

Duties

Maintenance and Repair

: Performing routine maintenance and repairs on gas appliances, boilers, and systems to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with gas systems and implementing effective solutions.

Safety Inspections

: Conducting safety inspections and assessments of gas installations to ensure compliance with H&S regulations.

Emergency Response

: Responding to emergency call-outs related to gas leaks or equipment failures.

Compliance and Regulatory Adherence

: Staying updated on relevant gas safety, codes, and industry standards.

System Testing and Calibration

: Conducting tests on gas systems to ensure safe operation and optimal performance.

Customer Relations

: Maintaining and building customer and client relationships for repeat business and education for upkeep post-work.

Quality Control

: Ensuring all gas work is conducted to a high standard.
Gas service and maintenance engineers play a crucial role in the safety and efficiency of gas systems, and their work is essential for the protection of public health and safety

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 16.50-18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
