Service Desk Engineer

Job Description

In this busy role you'll be responsible for providing 1st line IT support to all Sustainable Energy First employees. You will be the first point of contact for IT-related queries, logging and prioritising tickets, and escalating complex problems to higher-level support teams if needed.

Regular tasks include but are not limited to:



Responding to and resolving IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing systems. Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, and peripherals. Troubleshooting network and connectivity issues. Managing user accounts, access permissions, and security settings.

Requirements



Ability to identify, analyse, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues. Able to diagnose and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. Good knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, access controls, and data protection. IT Service Management (ITSM) & Ticketing Systems experience Have the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users. Time Management & Prioritisation skills

Salary: 31,000 per annum


Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays + your birthday off, increasing to 30 days on length of service


Hybrid working - you must be able to commute to our Lytham office 2 days p/week

Please note: we are moving to Fulwood this Autumn Flexible working - including the ability to bank up to to 5 extra days off per year Gym contribution
