Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Service Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operation of a vacuum truck to empty, clean, and transport portable chemical toilets at various sites. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles. Full Training provided.

Responsibilities

Operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner while adhering to all road safety regulations. Operate a vacuum pump for emptying and cleaning portable toilets. Perform scheduled servicing of chemical toilets, including refilling with water and chemical solutions. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of servicing Communicate effectively with staff at head office and customers regarding servicing and any potential issues. Assist in loading and unloading goods from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed. Collaborate with team members to optimise servicing routes and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

Valid driving licence up to 3.5t Previous experience as a delivery driver is highly desirable; Proven ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Good Geographical Knowledge would be an advantage. Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail for record keeping. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Occasional overtime required to meet industry demands.
